About Plot Point Therapy Services
Scyan is a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (#142982) with a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy, working under the license of Aaron Quiroz (LMFT #113915). She specializes in using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and a person-centered, narrative-based therapeutic approach to help young adults, children, and families embrace their creativity, leverage their strengths, and feel empowered to author their life’s story.
With a strong passion for creative writing, and vested interest in the unique life experiences that can be conveyed through music, film, and other media, Scyan incorporates and encourages thematic elements of storytelling in her sessions to help clients recognize and change problematic thoughts and behaviors, so they can develop habits that align with how they aim to feel and the person they desire to be.
Scyan enjoys working with children and young adults to strengthen their social and emotional growth, and behavioral development. She prioritizes guiding clients through a range of challenges including anxiety, family of origin, relationship, or peer conflict, and other life transitions.
Inspired by her previous clinical experience working with elderly adults experiencing cognitive disorders and leading groups to support their caregivers, Scyan is keenly attuned to how unexpected life transitions can alter an individual’s perception of self and prompt reflection about how one has journeyed through life. If you are ready to overcome self-imposed and societal limitations so that you may actualize your potential to become the hero of your own story, get ready to pick up your pen so we can start plotting!
